About the Artist

Liu Jihong, born in 1955 in Fuyang City, Anhui Province, He is a national first-class artist, a member of the China Artists Association, and a professor of the Chinese Painting Advanced Research Class of Tsinghua University. He has published "First-line Classics , Liu Jihong Scrolls " ( published by Jiangxi Fine Arts Publishing House ) , " Style - Liu Jihong Freehand Flowers and Birds Volume " ( published by Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House ) , "Collection of Chinese Painting Masters • Liu Jihong Freehand Flowers and Birds "Contemporary Powerful Painters Fine Series • Liu Jihong Scrolls" and "Chinese Freehand Flower and Bird Painting Techniques" upper and lower volumes of CD-ROM.

Liu Jihong's a leading freehand ink wash painting artist worldwide, particularly known for his freehand flower and bird paintings. He's won numerous awards both at national level and worldwide. His freehand painting of Tree Peony has been hanging on the central wall of the Golden Hall of the Great Hall of the People and permanently collected by Zhong Nan Hai (Home Office of China Central Government), China National Art Museum and many other museums, galleries worldwide. He's held a number of solo exhibitions in Japan, Korea, France, USA, etc. and for 3 times, his works were featured on nasdaq big screen at Time Square New York. Many of his works are given as gifts to visiting government officials from different countries by China central government.Liu Jihong has also performed well on the capital market with auction records rising from RMB 4000 to RMB 1,890,000 in just 4 years, and still gaining increasing popularity among organizations and privative collectors.
